IS
- PRESS RELEASE – July 2000
ASIS
announces the release of a NEW product - ASISCorporateSecurity®.
This application has been created as a design derivative
of its 'award-winning' flagship product - ASISCaseManager®.
ASISCorporateSecurity®
has been created specifically for corporate security
professionals.
Interest
in the new product has proved to be very strong with
sales in both the domestic and export markets within
weeks of its release. The Internet and a 'client
support focus' has proven to be the two most critical
factors with the success of the company's products,
particularly with ASIS's strong export drive. This combination,
and the commitment to quality, is proving to be a winning
formula evidenced by the numerous client referrals the
company is currently experiencing.
ASIS PRESS
RELEASE – March 1999
ASIS
wins another export contract! The Texas
Department of Insurance (TDI) has announced
that ASIS has won an open US tender for the supply of
an enterprise-wide Investigation Management System (IMS).
The
company’s flagship product ASISCaseManager®
(a Compliance Case Management System) has been selected
to provide TDI’s Fraud Investigation Branch with
the tools to manage all of the business processes associated
with investigating and subsequently prosecuting instances
of fraud in the state of Texas.
This is the 3rd contract the company has secured with
ASISCaseManager® in
the USA during the past eight months, following sales
to the Arkansas Insurance Department
and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission.
During the same period, a number of Australian public
and private sector organisations have also implemented
the System. These include the:
- Westpac Banking Corporation,
- National Registration Authority,
- Queensland Department of Transport (Maritime
Division), and
- New South Wales Department of Education
& Training.
ASIS,
a privately-owned, Canberra-based, Australian software
company, has had extraordinary success with its flagship
product, ASISCaseManager®
during the past 12 months. The founders of the company,
Peter Vassallo and Russ Lawrence said, "We are
ecstatic at the success the product is having in the
United States". The success of the product, in
the US initially, resulted from the company’s
presence on the Internet. Peter Vassallo said, "As
soon as prospective clients qualified the product, the
company followed through by visiting the US and demonstrating
the capabilities of the ASISCaseManager®
software. The first three US State Government organizations
to view the product, are now ASIS clients.
What
makes the success of the TDI contract more rewarding,
is the fact that the company has also been selected
as the Prime Contractor and Systems Integrator to interface
the ASISCaseManager®
software with three in-house Oracle databases. The initial
software support contract is for 4 years and support
will be provided from the company’s Canberra office.
ASIS' Canberra-based staff will also undertake the initial
product installation and both System Administration
and User Training.
It
appears from market research conducted by ASIS and information
supplied by ASIS’ new US clients, that no other
investigative case management product provides the functionality,
scalability and price/performance that the ASISCaseManager®
software provides.
The current
version of ASISCaseManager®
has been designed and developed by ASIS using Microsoft
Visual Basic 6 and is designed to operate across a network
using Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and NT operating systems.
ASIS Press
Release – July 1998
ASIS INTRODUCES
SOFTWARE TO AUTOMATICALLY CASE MANAGE FRAUD AND OTHER
INVESTIGATIONS FOR GOVERNMENT, LAW ENFORCEMENT, INSURANCE
AND BANKING.
ASISCaseManager®
- Fraud and Incident Case Management System.
CANBERRA
- ACT - AUSTRALIA - July 1998. Australian Special
Information Systems Pty Ltd (ASIS) today released Version
3.0 of its highly successful and award-winning compliance
case management product ASISCaseManager®,
a Microsoft Windows-based Fraud and/or Incident
Case Management software package for government, law
enforcement, insurance and banking organisations. The
System has been designed to automate the Investigative
Case Management business process and in particular,
provide Managers of Investigation Units with a tool
that provides the status of any investigation under
their control.
ASISCaseManager®
is a fully automated case management database system
designed to provide Investigation Managers with the
control of multiple investigations across a network.
The system provides the following core functionality:
Registering
and Automatically Prioritizing Allegations of Fraud
or Incidents of Crime with appropriate Resource Allocation
· Manager Action Requests · Investigator
Action Completion (Running Sheets), and Resources Used
· Case Summary · Outcome - Court Status
· Recovery Status - Financial Summary of Investigation
· Contacts (External) Database · Investigator
and Task Force (Internal) Database · Automated
Management Reporting System (Investigative Statistics
and Financial Statistics) · System Administration
· On Line Help · Security and Audit Trail
facilities.
"It’s
important to note that ASISCaseManager®
is focused on the business process of managing multiple
investigations", said Peter Vassallo, Managing
Director of ASIS, "rather than providing investigators
with just another investigative or analytical tool to
conduct the investigation. Our aim was to make the Manager’s
job easier than it currently is, and significantly improve
the productivity of the investigation unit, by dramatically
improving work practices."
"The
other consideration which effected the system’s
design was its ease of use." Vassallo said. "Our
research highlighted the fact that a significant number
of Investigation Managers wanted a system that would
provide them with the information they needed, when
they needed it, by simply pressing a button."
ASISCaseManager®
has been designed and developed by ASIS using Microsoft
Visual Basic V5.0 (32 bit). The system has been designed
to operate across a LAN or WAN using many of the standard
LAN management systems.
